Abstract (EN)
In this study, the level of the natural radioactivity concentration in building material is determined. The radioactivity concentrations of the different building material were performed by using suitable calibrated detectors after they treated to be suitable for counting system. The radon concentration measurements in building materials were achieved by using CR-39 Solid State Nuclear Track Detector (SSNTD). The gross alpha and gross beta radioactivity concentrations were determined by using ZnS(Ag) and beta sensitive plastic detectors, respectively. Based on the commonly accepted international standard, the obtained results are concluded.
