Abstract (EN)
Important taxa belonging to the Bufonia genus were examined as a result of online and face- to-face examinations by contacting domestic and international herbarium managers. Photographs of the samples were obtained and examined. Seed images of 12 Bufonia species were taken with a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and seed micromorphological characters of taxonomic importance were indicated. In our study, seed micromorphologies of 12 taxa belonging to the genus Bufonia were examined. The seed micromorphology of all of these taxa was determined for the first time in this study. In the preliminary study carried out using a light microscope, seed samples were selected under the microscope and examinations were made on mature samples. At first glance, it has been determined that the seed shapes are horseshoe-shaped and the seed color is black or dark brown and are similar among all taxa, but there are clear differences in cell edge structures and taxa. Seed surfaces are generally densely granulated.
