Determination of the performance of some rice (Oryza sativa L.) varieties in different environmental conditions

The objectives of this study was to determine the performance of some rice varieties in two different locations in 2013 rice cropping seasons of in Edirne and Çanakkale provinces. Eight rice varieties were in the investigation. Five of them, Halilbey Gala Osmancık-97, Hamzadere devoloped by Trakya Agriculture Resourch İnstitüde and three of them Ronaldo , Nembo, Galileo introduced from İtaly. The experiment was conducted in the randomized block design with four replication The data recorded for flowering and maturing time, plant height, the number panicle per square meter, the number of grain per panicle, leaf attitude, lodging, panicle starth, blast disease, pady grain length, width and shape, grain chalkeness, total milled rice yield, head rice, milled grain lenght, grain elongation of rate cooked rice, non-dispersive grain rate, 1000 grain weight of pady and milled rice. The significantly important differences determined away the varieties for examined traits. Except, paddy yield, the number of grain panicle and grain elongation of rate cooked rice the significant varieties x environment interaction was determined for the traits.
