Abstract (EN)
Soil moisture determination is a basic demand for agricultural research and in recent years many different insturement are used to measure soil moisture content indirectly. In this study, it was aimed to determine calibration curves and equations of neutron moisture meter, capacitance sensor and tensiometer some widely used soil moisture measuring instruments. For this purpose, in Menemen International Agricultural Research and Training Center, 6 x 6m experimental plot was built and surrounded 70 cm high banks. After that, research area was ponded till saturation and soil moistures had been measured twice a week by the instruments and gravimetric method. According to results, the closest values to actual soil moisture content values (gravimetric soil moistures) were measured by neutron moisture meter, capacitance sensor and tensiometer respectively.
