Abstract (EN)
In this study; For the isolation and characterization of Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria on the damages of tomato moth which caused damage in tomato plant, it was carried out from damaged branch leaves and fruit (tomato) samples such as soil, moth and fly taken from different tomato planting areas of Ankara. 11 Gram-positive bacteria were isolated from the collected samples with nutrient agar growth characteristics. As a result of colorimetric and microscopic identification, morphological, physiological and biochemical properties (Gram +/-, hemolysis, indole, catalase, oxidase, etc.) were identified and isolates belonging to genus Bacillus were identified. At the end of bacterial identification, it was observed that our 7 Bt isolates could be entomopathogenic Bacillus species which can be used in biological control of moth in tomato cultivation areas.
