Stability analysis and genotype environment interaction in some bread wheat genotypes

Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine the adaptability and yield potential of cultivars in Central Anatolia Region. The experimant was conducted in three locations, Ankara, Konya and Eskişehir provinces in the 2021-2022 growing season. Seventeen genotypes of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were used in the experiment, which was established according to the randomized block design with four replications. The average grain yields at Eskişehir, Ankara and Konya locations were found as 749,5 kg/da, 564,1 kg/da and 856,6 kg/da, respectively. At Konya location, the highest grain yield was obtained from Line 4 with 988,9 kg/da, while at Eskişehir and Ankara locations, the highest grain yield was obtained from Line 12 with 852,2 kg/da and 645,7 kg/da, respectively. As a result of the combined analysis, the average grain yield was found as 723,4 kg/da, while the highest grain yield with 803,5 kg/da was obtained from Line 12. When the stability parameters of Line 12 were analyzed, it was determined that the regression coefficient (b) was 0,93 close to 1 and the regression constant (a) was positive 127,85. As a result of the research, it was determined that Line 12 having grain highest grain yield did not decrease its yield under poor conditions and maintained its yield potential as the conditions improved.
