Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, firstly, the historical development of fixed point theory is given briefly. Subsequently, in order to make the thesis easier to read and understand, basic definitions and theorems were given, and examples were given about these definitions and theorems. Finally, theorems on the existence and uniqueness of best proximal point of nonself single-valued maps, set-valued maps, proximal Kannan, weak proximal Kannan maps and Geraghty-type contraction maps are given and some examples supporting these theorems are given.
