Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of local B. bassianaisolates (GOPT-228, GOPT-562 and GOPT-DYYLD) and diatomaceous earth on Sitophilus oryzae were evaluated. İn the study 1x106, 1x107, 1x108 and 1x109 conidia/ml suspensions of B. bassiana isolates and 50, 100, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000 ve 4000 ppm doses were used. In addition, the combination of 1x108 conidia/ml dose of entomopathogenic fungus and 500ppm and 1000ppm doses of local diatom soil was tested. Trials were established with 3 replications and 2 replications, and deaths were recorded on the 5, 7, 9, 11, 14. days of the application. At the end of the fourteen-day incubation period, GOPT-228, GOPT-DYYLD and GOPT-562 caused 21%, 31% and 25% mortality at 1x108 conidia/ml respectively. On the other hand 500 ppm and 1000 ppm diatom soil caused up to 100% mortality on the 11th day of incubation. In the combination of 500 ppm and 1000 ppm diatomaceous earth with 1x108 spores/ml of GOPT-228, resulted in 45% and 73% mortality respectively. According to the analysis results of the studies, it was concluded that B. bassiana, isolate, diatomaceous earth and combinations of isolates with diatomaceous earth can be used as an effective control method against S. oryzae. The results obtained can form a basis to further studies
