Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, inhibition studies of silicon (IV) phthalocyanine containing 8-[3 (trimethylamino) phenoxy]octanoxy group and zinc (II) phthalocyanine containing 8-[3(trimethylamino)phenoxy]octanoxy group on acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase enzymes were carried out. In addition, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and iron (III) ion reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) activity were studied to investigate the antioxidant activity potential of the compounds. Plasmid pBR322 DNA nuclease properties of the compounds were examined using agarose gel electrophoresis method. As a result of all these studies, it was determined that 8-[3-(Dimethylamino)phenoxy]octan-1-ol (DM-C8-OH) and 8-[3-(trimethylamino)phenoxy]octanoxy group containing zinc (II) phthalocyanine (DM-C8-ZnQ) compounds have the potential to be drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease.
