Morphometric analysis in some Geranium L. (Geraniaceae) species

Morphometric Analysis In Some Geranium L. (Geraniaceae) Species In this study, five Geranium L. (Geranium platypetahim Fisch., Geranium sylvaticum L., Geranium asphodeloides subsp. sintenisii (Freyn) Davis, Geranium pyrenaicum Burm., Geranium psilostemon Ledeb.) species collected from Zigana (Trabzon) Pass in 1998 were examined in terms of their morphometry. Morphometric measurements were analysed by using Cluster (CA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) determined from 26 characters. Finally, according to data of CA and PCA, Geranium asphodeloides subsp. sintenisii and Geranium pyrenaicum were found to be similar taxonomically while Geranium psilostemon was not. However, it was found that the floristic characters were in accordance with the morphometric data. Key Words : Geranium, taxonomy, morphometry V
