Abstract (EN)

In this PhD thesis, eight novel multifuntional ligands, N'-[(2Z,3E)-3-(hydroxyimino) butan-2-ylidene]-2-(2-phenyl-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl) acetohydrazide (1), 2-[2-(3-chlorobenzyl)-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl]-N'-[(2,3)-3-(hydroxyimino) butan-2- ylidene] acetohydrazide (2), N'-[(2,3)-3-(hydroxyimino) butan-2-ylidene]-2-[(4-methyl-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)sulfanyl] aceto hydrazide (3), N'-[(2,3)-3-(hydroxyimino) butan-2-ylidene]-2-(2-methyl-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl)acetohydrazide (4), N'-[(2-hydroxyphenyl) methylidene]-2-(2-phenyl-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)acetohydrazide (5), 2-[2-(3-chlorobenzyl)-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl]-N'-[(2-hydroxyphenyl) methylidene] acetohydrazide (6), N'-[(2-hydroxyphenyl) methylidene]-2-[(4-methyl-5-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl) sulfanyl] acetohydrazide (7) ve N'-[(2-hydroxyphenyl) methylidene]-2-(2-methyl-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl) acetohydrazide (8) and their Cu(II) complexes (1a-8a) were synthesized. The structural characterization of all the compounds were made by using IR, UV-Vis., NMR, mass, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, The geometric optimizations, vibrational analysis and electronic transitions of all the compounds synthesized were calculated by DFT methods. Catecholase activities of the Cu(II) complexes were also tested and the results showed that only complex 3a has the activiy with turnover number, 100,1 h-1.
