Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out in the experimental fields of Bursa Uludag University Faculty of Agriculture Agricultural Application and Research Center in 2017-2018 vegetation period in order to determine yield and quality characteristics and biodiesel compatibility of some advanced generation rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) lines. In the research; 10 advanced generation (F9) rapeseed lines obtained by 4 x 4 full diallel hybridization study between Bristol, Chang, Samurai and Quinta rapeseed cultivars and selected by pedigree selection method and 5 witness cultivars (Orkan, Süzer, Elvis, DK Excalibur and NK Caravel) used. Field trials were carried out in randomized block design with 4 replications. As a result of the research, DK Excalibur and NK Caravel cultivars and BC-12 and QC-25 lines took the first place in terms of seed yield and important properties affecting seed yield such as number of capsule in plant, number of seed in capsule and thousand seed weight. In addition to these genotypes, Orkan cultivar and CB-16 line came into prominence in terms of crude oil content. The highest crude oil yields obtained from NK Caravel (198,8 kg/da) and DK Excalibur (206,7 kg/da) cultivars and BC-12 (197,3 kg/da) and QC-25 (185,9 kg/da) lines. In terms of fatty acid composition and biodiesel fuel properties, all genotypes included in the research were close to the references mentioned in the literature.
