Abstract (EN)

This thesis was conducted at Çukurova University between June and August 2022, Under the Prime project (FREECLİMB TÜBİTAK-199N495), the salt stress tolerance of 33 female fig genotypes sent from the Aydın-Erbeyli Fig Research Institute was determined through experiment. No significant decreases were observed in the plant measurement values taken at the beginning of the experiment and the stem diameter, plant height, and leaf number measurements taken at the end of the experiment for all varieties and genotypes in both the stress and control plants. The stem diameter, plant height and leaf number measurements were higher in some stressed cultivar and genotypes than those of the control plants. This was interpreted as the applied salt stress not affecting plant growth. It was found that the values measured in the stressed plants at the end of the experiment were lower than those measured in the control plants and the stressed plants at the beginning of the experiment in terms of the effect of salt stress on leaf water potential In this study, based on the evaluated parameters among the commercially important varieties for our country, it has been determined that the most salt-tolerant genotypes and varieties are Bursa Siyahı, Gök, Yeşilgüz, and Sarılop.
