Determination of lethal concentrations values of some larvacides on Culex pipens L. and Culiseta longiareolata (Macquart) (Diptera: Culicidae)

In this study, 2 toxic-acting preparates and 3 IGR preparates that were registered as larvicide in Turkey were used on Culex pipiens L. and Culiseta longiaereolata (Macquart) (Diptera: Culicidae) larvae for monitoring the effects of the preparates on larvae and aimed determination of beginning toxicity. The studies were conducted with Cx. pipiens and Cs. longiareolata eggs that are collected from Muğla province in 2018 and were reared in the climate rooms located in Ege University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection. Climate condititons adjusted to 27± temperature, %70±5 relative humidity, lighting with 12:12 photoperiod. 3rd instar Cx. pipiens and Cs. longiareolata larvae were used by using Delphin 20 SC (Diflubenzuron), Flubex Tablet (Diflubenzuron), Natular XRT (Spinosad), Natular G30 (Spinosad), Sumilarv 0,5G (Pyriproxifen) preparates to determine the LC values of larvae. Dose ranges were assessed as 6 different doses by accepting recommended doses as highest dose and LC values were determined. According to the data in this study, the LC50 and LC90 values on Cx. pipiens for Delphin 20 SC are 0,011 ppm and 0,013 ppm; Flubex Tablet values are 1,814 ppm and 30,017 ppm; Natular XRT values are 0,221 ppm and 4,262 ppm; Natular G30 values are 0,058 ppm and 0,2 ppm, respectively. LC values of Sumilarv 0,5 G preparete could not calculated for Cx. pipiens. The LC50 ve LC90 values on Cs. longiareaolata for Natular G30 are 0,084 ppm and 0,843 Flubex Tablet values are 0,11 ppm and 0,282 ppm, respectively. LC values of Delphin 20 SC, Natular XRT and Sumilarv 0,5 G preparates could not determined for Cs. longiareolata.
