Abstract (EN)

In this study, the extraction of the 5 different lichens Physcia oipolia (Ehrh. ex Humb.) Furnrohr., Lobaria pulmonaria (L..) Hoffm., Peltigera apthosa (L) Willd., Pseudevernia furfuracea (L.) Zopf. Parmelia taractica Kremp which have collected from different location of Oltu province in Erzurum. These lichens have extracted with Soxhlet apparatus by ethanol process. The antimicrobial activities were investigated against the test microorganisms of Escherichia coli ATCC 11230, Stapylococcus aureus ATCC 6538P, Salmonella typhimurium CCM 5445, Proteus vulgaris ATCC 6899, Bacillus subtilis ATCC 6633, Bacillus cereus ATCC 7064, Entereobacter aerogenes ATCC 13048, Micrococcus luteus CCM 169, Debaryomyces hansenii DSM 70238, Candida lypolitica ATCC 8660, Candida albicans ATCC 10231, Rhodotorula rubra DSM 70403 and Kluyveromyces fragilis ATCC 8608 with the disc diffusion method by taking 50 ?L from these solutions.At the end of the research, we reached a conclusion that the antimicrobiyal activity of these 5 different lichens used in our research are effective to all of the test microorganisms.
