Abstract (EN)

Nematicides have been widely used in the control of plant-parasitic nematodes. In this study, the effects of some nematicides on Root-knot nematode Meloidogyne javanica (Treub, 1885) (Tylenchida: Meloidogynidae) were investigated. The experiments were conducted in 500 ml plastic transparent glasses containing a sandy soil mixture (%70 sand and %30 peat). Experiments were conducted in a climate chamber under controlled conditions (27±2 ºC temperature, 60±10% relative humidity, 16:8 L:D) for 75 days. Nematicides used in the experiment were applied at four different times: (A) 3-6 days before planting (B) just after planting (C) 15 days after planting (D) 30 days after planting (E) 45 days after planting. The study was set up a randomized complete plot design with eight treatments [(1) Abamectin 20 g/L (B) (2) Abamectin 20 g/L (C) (3) Abamectin 20 g/L (D) (4) Abamectin 20 g/L (E) (5) Fosthiazate 150 g/L (A) (6) Fosthiazate 150 g/L (C) (7) Fosthiazate 150 g/L (D) (8) Fosthiazate 150 g/L (E) (9) Fluopyram 400 g/L (B) (10) Fluopyram 400 g/L (C) (11) Fluopyram 400 g/L (D) (12) Fluopyram 400 g/L (E) (13) Control (+) (14) Control (-)], each with five replications. According to the study results, the lowest gall formation compared to the Control (+) treatment was observed in the following order: Fluopyram 400 g/L (B) (1.60±0.24), Fosthiazate 150 g/L (A) (2.20±0.20) and Abamectin 20 g/L (B) (3.20±0.37), The highest gall formation was observed in the Abamectin 20 g/L (E) treatment (5.60±0.24). Fluopyram 400 g/L (B) (%94,62), Fosthiazate 150 g/L (A) (91,38) and Abamectin 20 g/L (B) (%72,88) significantly reduced the number of second-stage juveniles of the nematode. End of the study, it was observed that the efficacy of registered nematicides on the second generation of the root-knot nematode M. javanica decreased.
