Abstract (EN)

In this study homopolymer of N-Vinylpyrrolidone (NVP) was synthesized with chemical method and also its copolymer with maleic anhydride (MA) and its terpolymer with N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAm). Polymer structures were characterized by FTIR, UV-visible, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectra. With the elemental analysis performed for homopolymer, copolymer and terpolymer the content of C,H and N has been determined as % by means of mass. Monomer percent of Poli(NVP-co-MA) were determined from elementel analysis. Monomer percent of copolymer was obtained m1= 45,70 (NVP) and m2= 54,30 (MA). Thermal properties of polymers were investigated by TGA, DTA and DSC. The highest thermal stability was PNVP from thermal analyses. The surface structures of polymers were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The crystal structure of polymers were investigated by XRD and crystal ratio were calculated. Antimicrobial activies of PNVP, Poli(NVP-co-MA) and Poli(NVP-co-MA-co-NIPAm) were investigated against gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae), gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus auerus, Bacillus subtilis) and fungus (Canadida albicans) In this application disc diffusion method was used. The highest antimicrobial activity value was measured against gram-positive bacteri. It has been also observed that antimicrobial activity of terpolymers is higher when compared to copolymers and also antimicrobial activity of copolymers is higher than homopolymers.
