Abstract (EN)

This study was caried out in between the year of 2010 and 2011, in order to identify the effects of storing two table grape varieties ?Yalova İncisi? and ?Yalova Çekirdeksizi? at different durations (day 25, day 50 and day 75) and at different temperatures ( 0?2 °C, 4?6 °C, 8?10 °C and 18?20 °C), on the graft material quality. In this dissertation study, which was carried out in Agriculture Faculty, in COMU cold storage room based on the samples, collected from ?Table Grape Varieties Examination Vineyard? in COMU Dardonos Campus; cane moisture, cane width, pith, bark+phloem, xylem, cane width/pith, bark+phloem/pith, xylem/pith parameters of the graft varieties stored at different durations and temperatures were examined as well as shoot length, shoot fresh weight, root fresh weight and top callus development level parameters at one-bud cuttings. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the yearly branch inside structure at the graft cuttings which were stored at different durations and temperatures, changed from the first pruning day. The best lignification took place at yearly branches which were stored 50 to 75 days; the graft materials stored at 4?6 °C, 0?2 °C and 8?10 °C achieved beter lignification; this situation was also observed with shoot and root weight values, taken from one?bud cuttings; the worst lignification took place at yearly branches stored at 18?20 °C, due to shoot formation observed in PVC bag and the consumption of spare nutriment substances. When all the results evaluated together, it was observed that, the interior structure of one year shoots were not completed in the cuttings of the varieties, were collected in the prunning period (end of November-begining of March), so grafting must be applied after the winter pruning. For this reason it was determined that when the grafting procedure should be started after the cold storage with min.25 days at 4?6 °C degrees, were more useful .
