Synthesis of some new tetrazole compounds and investigation of their structures

Abstract (EN)
In this study, some new diterazole compounds containing two of the tetrazole, thiotetrazole and selenotetrazole structures were synthesized. For this purpose, new nitrile compounds containing cyano group at the end were synthesized from the reaction of long chain primary alkyl halides with cyanide, thiocyanide and selenocyanide. By heating these compounds in toluene in the presence of sodium azide and triethylammonium, 5-substituted-1H-tetrazole derivatives were formed. By reacting the obtained tetrazoles with dialkylhalides in the basic medium, haloalkylated tetrazole derivatives from the nitrogen atom of the tetrazole ring wassynthesized. Compounds containing new nitrile groups then were formed from the reaction of haloalkyl groups bound to tetrazole nitrogen with thiocyanate and selenocyanate under appropriate conditions. Ditetrazole structures wereobtained by converting these new nitrile structures with suitable reagents and tetrazole ring under appropriate conditions. The structures of the newditetrazole compounds obtained wereinvestigatedby spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C-APT NMR and HRLC-MS).In vitro clinical antibacterial efficacy studiescarried out in Ahi Evran University faculty of agriculture research laboratoriesit was determined that the synthesized sulfur-containing ditetrazole structures have almost the same or more efficacy against gram-negative bacteria against current antibiotics.
