The effects of the physical education classes and activities to the primary school eight grade students? in yozgat social development processes

In this research; the effects of the physical education classes and activities to the primary school eight grade students? in Yozgat social development processes was measured and analyzed.The sample group of this study was composed of ten primary schools operating in Yozgat, in 2006-2007 Education year. The research was conducted on the eighth grade students in these schools. The questionnaires were conducted on 240 male 166 female students, a total 406 students. Basic frequency and percentage was taken in the statistical analysis on the data gathered from the subjects. In the validity and reliability process of the questionnaire interclass correlation coefficient test was conducted. The questionnaire was conducted because the interclass correlation coefficient was near to 1.00 values for every item.In this research, a great number of students state that the weekly number of classes of physical education courses is insufficient. Besides, it is found that the students agree that the weekly number of classes of physical education courses must be increased. Most students think that the physical education courses orient them towards various sports branches. Thus, it is possible to say the physical education courses are effective on student?s choosing sport branches.As a result of conducted researches, it is determined that the students have a positive attitude towards physical education courses. It is determined that, in participating the physical education classes, the male students are more willing than the female students. Furthermore, a large number of students participated the survey expressed that the physical education course help them improve their social gaining, and again a great number of students express that they know their friends unknown aspects better via the physical education classes. Most of the students suggest that their sense of share is revealed most in the physical education classes, and also, they can express themselves in the physical education course easier than in the other courses.
