Investigation of physical education prospective teachers' attitudes towards informatics technologies

Our era shaped by great influence information and communication technologies, individuals in the physical education field such as all individuals who are professionally interested in education and training who need to have certain qualifications. The purpose of this study is to examine physical education and sports teacher candidates attitudes about informatics technologies usage and evoluate in terms of certain demographic characteristics. In 2016-2017 academic year, some factors considered to be effective on the information and communication of the students in the department of physical education and sports teaching in the universities of various geographical regions of Turkey were discussed. The School of Physical Education and Sport Bartın University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Fırat University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Sakarya University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Kırıkkale University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Celal Bayar University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Atatürk University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Inonu University The School of Physical Education and Sport Gumushane University, The School of Physical Education and Sport Abant Izzet Baysal University 10 among the students studying at universities, there are totally 780 students 448 of whom are male and 332 of whom are female selected randomly constitute the sample group. The personal information form in the research was used as data collection tools with the Attitude Scale of Information and Communication Technologies developed by Günbatar (2014). The relational search model was used in this study. According to findings from the research, it was determined that the attitudes of the prospective teachers on Information and Communication Technologies were high. In addition, statistically significant correlations were found between subscale attitudes of information and communication technologies and variables of physical education and sports teacher candidates.
