Troubles that physical education teacher's encounter in their fields (balikesir province sample)

The aim of this research is to determine the problems towards the Physical Education and sports lessons and their sources and the problems of the Physical Education teachers appearing in their occupation and weather these problems are undergoing a changer or not.This research is a type of scarification. The existing knowledge about the research is presented in a systematic order by examining the related literature with the help of these, theoric outline could be formed about the subject. In addition, related scale about the research has been carried and te solution of the research has been inquired with the information gathered with tis scale. The questions have been formed in the light of the information which are gathered with examining the related literature and the estimation of qualified people in this field has been questioned.This Cronbach?s Alpha coefficient which is estimated to the test the reliability of the questionary is 0.95.107 men, 43 women, totally 150 Physical Education teachers who are serving in Balıkesir province participated in this research voluntarily.Descriptive statistics have been used int he analysis of the data which is gained; percentage-frequency has been taken at the analysis of demographic knowledge; independent samples t-test, ANOVA and Tukey HSD test have been applied in order to test the difference according to some variables.According to the evidences gained from the research it has been determined that %64.7 percent of the participants are between the ages of 31-40; %53.3 are in the teaching profession for 11-15 years; %70.6 are graduate from Academy of Physical Education and Sports and %64 serve in primary schools; %55.3 have coaching licence at one sport branch; %35.3 have 16-20 lessons a week; %69.3 have coaching licence at one sport branch, and %55.3 have attended the inservice-training courses.It has been determined that only the half of teachers (%50.6) and school administration regard the required importance to Physical Education lessons and %63.3 of which think that school administration neglect Physical Education lesson by not choosing the optional sport acticity and all of them think that weekly lesson numbers of Physical Education lessons at schools are not suficient; %81.3 of the participants have sufficient knowledge of guiding students. %79 of teachers think students do not want to attend the Physical Education courses because of the concern of future, although the students (%92) think Physical Education courses are sufficient, whereas %71.3 of the parents are unconscious about the importance of Physical Education in human life.Key Words: Physical Education, Teacher, Ministry of National Education
