Teaching Physical Education and Sports Lesson values by creative drama method: Online application

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of physical education and sports lesson values on the value levels of 8th grade students with creative drama method and online application. Material and Method: In this study, pretest-posttest control group design from experimental methods was used. 48 8th grade students, 24 in the experimental group and 24 in the control group, were included. "Physical Education and Sports Lesson Values Scale" was used as a data collection tool. SPSS 22 program was used in the processing and analysis of the data. Dependent (Related) Groups t-test was used to determine the effect of creative drama method in the analysis of the data, and Independent (Unrelated) Groups t-test was used for comparisons between groups Results: A significant difference was found between the post-test scores of the experimental and control group students in all dimensions. This difference is in favor of the experimental group. A significant difference was found between the pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group students in all dimensions. This difference is in favor of the posttest. There was no significant difference in any dimension between the pre-test and post-test scores of the control group students. Conclusion: As a result of the analysis, a significant increase was observed in the post-test scores of the experimental group students in which the creative drama method was applied, in the values of sports culture, healthy life and nutrition, solidarity value, respect value, national culture and togetherness value and awareness values.
