Vocational problems faced by physical education and sports teachers: A systematic review study

Individuals face many problems from the moment they are born until the end of their lives and have to find solutions to these problems. Our daily lives require human relations; work, school, family, friendships, etc. We face many problems in the communication process. Although some of these problems can be solved through communication, problems that may develop depending on environmental factors, situations and processes also take their place in our lives. This study aimed to shed light on the problems that physical education and sports teachers encounter in their professional lives. In accordance with the inclusion criteria determined in the study where the systematic review method was preferred; Articles published on Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO - SportsDiscuss With Full Text and Tr Dizin websites were examined and the problems faced by physical education and sports teachers working in many countries were reported transparently. In 20 articles parsed from websites in accordance with the inclusion criteria, physical education and sports teachers generally stated; They experienced discipline and adaptation problems during and after epidemics, the conflict and constant change of the curriculum and education system, and the lack of teaching methods, teaching strategies, special education, and lack of pedagogical education knowledge due to the inadequate education they received in undergraduate education. has been detected. At the same time; Pointing out that the problems in the classroom environment against racism, cultural conflict, school bullying and gender inequality are growing, the teachers pointed out that they could not receive sufficient support when they first started working, that the physical structure of the schools in their places of duty was unfavorable, and that the practical activities required for the course were limited due to the lack of materials and facilities. They stated that their productivity decreased and that they encountered many problems due to occupational injuries, working conditions and environmental factors. Based on the problems encountered by physical education and sports teachers, allocating the necessary budget for the course, increasing the course content and educator support in undergraduate education, providing frequent in-service training with expert educators, and acting in coordination with the support of colleagues, school administration and students' parents. Suggestions were made to organize meetings and to prevent the education system and curriculum from constantly changing in a confusing way.
