Özet (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to examine the attitudes of physical education and sports teachers towards distance education. The research, in which the descriptive survey model was used, was carried out between 2022 and 2023 in the province of Gaziantep, T.C. A total of 355 physical education teachers, 251 men and 104 women, actively working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education participated. In obtaining the data in the research; An eight-item "Diagnostic Information Form" developed by the researcher and Ağır et al. (2008) "Teachers' Attitudes Towards Distance Education Scale" was used. Due to the normal distribution of the skewness and kurtosis values of the data, parametric tests were used as "t-test in paired group comparisons, ANOVA test in comparison of more than two groups, and Post Hoc Tukey multiple comparison test to determine the difference between groups". As a result of the analysis of the research, it was determined that there were differences in the attitudes of physical education teachers towards distance education in terms of demographic variables such as gender, marital status, pre-pandemic experience and seniority; No difference was found in terms of education level, school district, school type and daily internet usage time. As a result, it was determined that variables such as gender, marital status, pre-pandemic experience and years of seniority of physical education teachers had a significant effect on their perceptions of the limitations or advantages of distance education.
