Abstract (EN)

With the declaration of the Tanzimat Edict, the Ottoman State made radical changes in the administrative field. One of these changes is the Provincial Ordinance issued in 1867. With this regulation, it was passed from state to province, administrative units were rebuilt and in provinces; The year, which includes the history and geography of the provinces and shows the social-cultural, economic and administrative-military structure, annuals are being kept. In the light of the information obtained from the Hejaz Province Yearbook in H. 1301 (M.1884), in our study on the subject of the Hejaz Province under the administration of the Ottoman State. It was aimed to reveal the history and geography, social-cultural, economic and administrative-military structure of the Hejaz Province during the reign of Abdulhamid II. The first yearbook of Hejaz Province, H. 1301 (M. 1884) date, was transcribed and copyright works were also used in our thesis. According to our study, Hejaz Province consists of the Makkah, which also includes the Kaaba, and the sanjaks of Medina and Jeddah and the townships connected to these sancaks. While the history and geography of Hejaz, almost identical with the Kaaba, are handled in the light of salname, in our study II. During the reign of Abdulhamid, the social and cultural structure of Hejaz, its economic status, the sanjaks and administrative bodies that constituted the Hejaz Province and the military presence of the Ottoman State in the region were revealed.
