Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the levels of leisure time and motivation of university students, to compare them in terms of demographic variables and to determine the relations between them. In the research of the relational screening model, the Leisure Time Constraint Scale developed by Alexandris and Carroll (1997), which was adapted to Turkish by Gürbüz et al. (2012) and the Leisure Time Motivation Scaledeveloped by Pelletier et al. (1991), which was adapted to Turkish by Mutlu (2008) was applied to 317 voluntary participants. When the results obtained from the survey were examined, it was determined that the participants were based on the lack of facilities and adequate time finding that the perceptions of leisure time were over the average. At leisure motivation levels, it was found that the dimensions of achieving high self-perception and selfawareness are more pronounced. There was no relationship between leisure time and leisure motivation levels. When the findings obtained from the study were evaluated in terms of demographic variables, significant differences were found between gender and age variables between the two scales.
