Abstract (EN)

Relationship satisfaction is critical to individuals' happiness and life satisfaction (Paap & Gardner, 2011; McGuinness & Taylor, 2016) and attachment styles stand out as an essential factor affecting it (Alder et al., 2017). Accordingly, study aimed to examine the effect of body image on relationship satisfaction and investigate the moderating role of attachment behaviors on this relationship. A sample of 234 participants were recruited via social media and through the university network and were assessed with Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI) (M=60.27, SD=15.50), New Sexual Satisfaction Scale (NSSS) (M=44.87, SD=9.29), Short Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (SWEMWBS) (M=26.23, SD=4.15), Body Cathexis Scale (BCS) (M=106.41, SD=17.14), Social Appearance Anxiety Scale (SAAS) (M=2.18, SD=0.94), and Brief Accessibility, Responsiveness and Engagement Scale (BARES) (M=47.63, SD=6.80). After data collection, participants were divided into three groups based on their priming: positive, neutral, and control, and each group completed diary writing tasks for five days. In regression analyses, body image positively affected relationship satisfaction and mental well-being (MWB). A strong positive correlation was found between relationship satisfaction and attachment (r=.82, p< .001) and body image was significantly associated with relationship satisfaction (β=0.21, p< .001). For mixed ANOVA, the time effect was significant on MWB (F(1,72)=44.17, p
