The study of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's poems in terms of values education

The aim of this study is to determine the value expressions of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu, one of the important names of Turkish art, with the works he produced in the genre of poetry and prose, and his works in the field of painting in Turkish literature, which can have an educational element feature. In the study, in which the descriptive survey model was adopted, the values in the 2019 Turkish Course Curriculum and the 2018 Social Studies Curriculum were taken into consideration, as it has a rich content in terms of education of Turkish and Social Studies lessons and the education of values is frequently included in these lessons. Based on the 10 root values specified in the Turkish Education Program, the 18 values in the Social Studies Curriculum, and the lower values that are desired to be gained from these values, a list of values including 33 different values was created by the researcher. Later, 33 different values in this list were grouped among themselves. 222 poems in Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's work called Dol Karabakır Dol, in which all of his poems were collected, were examined in detail in the context of 33 different values listed, and a total of 668 data for these values were reached at the end of the research. Descriptive survey model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The poems of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu constitute the population of the research. The poetry book Dol Karabakır Dol, in which all of Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's poems were collected, was used as the data source in the study. At the end of the study, it was determined that Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu's poems have a very rich content in terms of the values determined by the Ministry of National Education and the three values that he places the most in his poems are: being sensitive to nature, being sensitive to folk culture, love and longing for the country.
