Analysing of Bekir Yıldız's children's books from the point of values education

In this study, children books of Bekir Yıldız were examined in terms of values education. It is aimed to determine children books of Bekir Yıldız in terms of values education. The sample of the research was the children books called Ölümsüz Kavak, Kör Güvercin, Şahinler Vadisi and Arılar Ordusu which were written by Bekir Yıldız Descriptive survey model and documentary techniques were used in the study. In the first part of the study, problem status, the importance of the study, purpose, limitations, assumptions and definitions were taken part. In the second part of the study, the conceptual framework was presented with the headings of the Bekir Yıldız's life, arts, works, tale types in children's literature and value. Also related researches were included in this part. In the third part, information about the method of the study was given. In the fourth part, the children books of the Bekir Yıldız were introduced and the findings were interpreted. In the fifth part of the study, research results and recommendations were presented. As a result of the study, it was found out that root values in the children books of the Bekir Yıldız are rich in education of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism and charity. (MEB, 2017) It is concluded that children's books are useful in individual and social values education in terms of educational values.
