أسلوب الحذف في شعر الفرزدق نحويًّا وبلاغيًّا

This research is based on the study of the ellipsis technique in the poetry of Al-Farazdaq from both a grammatical and rhetorical perspective. Al-Farazdaq, one of the prominent poets of the Umayyad era, distinguished himself through his use of ellipsis, which became the focus of study for grammarians and rhetoricians. Arabic is characterized by its ellipsis, provided that it does not lead to confusion or ambiguity in meaning, serving as evidence of the brilliance and boldness of the Arabic language. The significance of this research lies in unveiling the secrets of ellipsis, understanding its hidden nuances, extracting rhetorical subtleties, and exploring the linguistic beauty filled with emotions and thoughts inherent in Al-Farazdaq's poetry. This scholarly study is supported by Quranic and grammatical evidence to discern the aesthetic impact and artistic value introduced by ellipsis. The brilliance of expression showcased in Al-Farazdaq's poetry is highlighted through the careful selection of omissions, as the presence of the deleted element contributes to the eloquence and brilliance of speech. Ellipsis plays a significant role in suggestion and allusion. The study is organized into four chapters. In the first chapter, we discuss the principles of ellipsis, its importance, benefits, conditions, reasons, evidence, and types. The second chapter focuses on word omission, covering subjects such as the omission of the subject, predicate, predicate of negation, predicate of non-gender, and ellipsis in verbal sentences, including verb omission, subject and its substitute omission, and ellipsis in various grammatical constructions, such as the object, circumstance, distinction, vocative, absolute object, adjectives, and the modified. The third chapter addresses sentence omission, covering verb and subject omission together, verb and direct object omission, omission in sentences with "to be - kāna" and its complement, omission of the oath sentence, omission of the oath response, omission of the oath response with a condition, omission of the condition sentence, omission of the condition response, and omission of the response to a hypothetical condition. In the fourth chapter, we explore letter omission in all its forms. The study concludes with the most significant findings attained.
