Effect of the competition fact on production practise of the municipal building

When the production practices of public administration buildings are examined; tender and competition method. When the production practices of the municipal service building are examined; there is a serious difference between the rates of implementation.It is observed that a great majority of the municipal service buildings, which were applied by the tender method in particular in the post-2000 period, include historical and symbolic emulations. It is the subject of this work that examines the causes of binary situations and their consequences when these building production methods are compared over architectural outcome products. In the first part of the thesis, while the subject was being entered, in the second part periodical analyzes of the definition of the competitor, process and national architecture competitions were made. In the third section, the municipality buildings obtained by the project competition are examined, applied and unplanned projects; magazines, newspapers, magazines and books.Also within the scope of the third chapter; the similarity / reoccurrence of the municipal service buildings applied after the year 2000 in the tender method, reasons and results were questioned. In the fourth part of the study; the products which are applied by the tender method and which contain historical and symbolic emulations and the products of the structures applied by the competition method; Sarıçam Municipality Building has been examined by comparative analysis method in Kadirli Municipality Service Building and Cultural Center and Çukurova Municipality Building and Culture Center. Comparisons were made; the jury and the project reports and the data obtained from the expressions of the managers. In the evaluations and the result parts, the contest method and tender method in the direction of the data obtained in the previous sections; functionality, location-user relationships, and authenticity are questioned.
