The relationship between documentary and ethnic identity: Ethnic identity in Turkish ethnographic documentary cinema after 2000

The study aims to explain the realationship between ethnographic documentary cinema and ethnic identity. In this context, the study is primarily the concept of ethnic identity and ethnic identity in the case of Turkey, ethnography, ethnology and what is the definition of etnogafik documentary films, features disclosed; ethnographic documentary film work was analyzed in Turkey. Karl G. Heider's ethnographic film features of the scheme that uses the content analysis method applied in the study, an evaluation of the six films, ethnographic data within the films were reached. According to the results, it is seen that the documentaries carry the ethnic identities with their historical integrity and they are based on the participatory observation consept which is a feature of ethnographic documentary.
