Abstract (EN)
The human ? computer interaction becomes very common and a major part of our life with the emerging developments in the information technology. As speech is considered to be a more natural interface than keyboard or mouse, speech driven communication is also becaming more of an issue. Speech recognition has a broad application area. One of those applications which is also the subject of this thesis is Word Identification. The purpose of word identification can be summarized as detecting a query word in an audio text. It is mainly used in information retrieval and security areas.The work done in this thesis can be summarized as making acoustic and language models, training speech data and making evaluations from the results.
