Abstract (EN)
The relevant thesis study examines the volumetric behavior of silty samples with bentonite addition at the rates of 0%, 2%, 4%, 8%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% and 40% in a triaxial device. This research will be carried out to understand the effects of bentonite additive on the mechanical properties of silty soil. As a result of the studies, it was aimed to determine the effects of bentonite additive on the volumetric behavior of silty soil, to analyze the effects of different bentonite concentrations on durability, deformation and relaxation properties, and to statistically evaluate the data obtained as a result of the experiments carried out on the triaxial device. The study will be carried out through laboratory experiments. Silty samples will be prepared in different bentonite ratios and tested under various load and deformation conditions on a triaxial device. The data obtained will be evaluated with statistical analysis and conclusions will be drawn. This research aims to explain in detail the effects of bentonite additive on the volumetric behavior of silty soil. The findings obtained can guide the improvement and stabilization of silty soils in geotechnical engineering applications. This thesis study will provide information about the usability of bentonite-containing silty soils in engineering applications and the factors that should be taken into account in geotechnical designs.
