Özet (EN)

In this study, the usability of boron waste (BA) and boron waste (MBA) modified with Benzylpoly(dimethylamino)ethylmaacrylate-b-polymethylmetacrylate (BzPDMA-PMMA) in the removal of phosphate and nitrate ions from aqueous solutions was investigated. Adsorption of phosphate and nitrate ions on BA and MBA was investigated as a function of the initial solution concentration, contact time, adsorban dosage and temperature in batch system. Adsorption kinetics were investigated by using the first-order, the pseudo-second-order and the intra-particle diffusion models. The compatibility of the results obtained from the isotherm studies with the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models was investigated. Experimental results obtained from isothermal studies were tested by using Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Experimental results show that BA and MBA can be used as adsorbents for the removel of phosphate and nitrate ions from aqueous solutions.
