Abstract (EN)

The Treaty of Berlin in 1878 is not only end most of the Ottoman presence in the Balkans; it has also been a turning point due to its long-term consequences on religious and ethnic groups living in the region for centuries. With the Treaty of Berlin, Montenegro gained independence and places such as Nikşiç, Kolaşin, Podgoritsa, Jablyak, İşbuz were left under the control of Montenegro and a real estate issue arose in these places. The purpose of our study is to reveal the real estate issue caused by Muslims living in the lands left by the Ottomon Empire to Montenegro after the Treaty of Berlin, due to various pressures and their property left in the places they left. In the Turkish Real Estate Issue in Montenegro after the Berlin Treaty, thedocuments obtained from the Prime Ministry Archive constitute the main source of our study. In addition, published documents, chronicles and research works have been used.
