The Effect of Organizational Stress and Organizational Loneliness on the Quality of Work Life in Five Star Thermal Hotel Enterprises: An Application in Afyonkarahisar

This study aims to determine the impact of organizational stress and organizational loneliness on the quality of work life among employees in hotel businesses. To achieve this objective, data were collected using a survey technique. The research population consists of employees working in five-star hotel establishments operating in Afyonkarahisar, Türkiye. From this population, a sample was drawn, and 386 employee questionnaires were included in the evaluation. For data analysis, various statistical methods were employed, including percentage, frequency, arithmetic mean and standard deviation, factor and reliability analysis, t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The obtained data were interpreted in line with the research's purpose. The results of the correlation analyses revealed a significant relationship between organizational stress and organizational loneliness, as well as with quality of work life. Furthermore, based on the analysis results, organizational stress was found to differ significantly according to gender, age group, and current tenure. Organizational loneliness, on the other hand, showed significant differences based on age group and current tenure. Additionally, the variables of educational status, monthly income, and department worked were found to have a significant effect on organizational stress, organizational loneliness, and quality of work life. Based on these findings, evaluations were made, and recommendations were presented to relevant stakeholders.
