Abstract (EN)
The aims of the article are examining of the formation and development processes of Beşiktaş – Maslak Büyükdere axis, evaluating the factors affecting its development, determining the functional changes occurred on the axis and evaluating the causes and consequences of them , determining the phases of the axis until it reaches the present state. In addition, to evaluate the place and importance of the axis in the city,axis' identity in the the city development macroform.
