Consideration of sort of questions which 5th grade teachers ask according to the learning styles and their cognitive levels in social studies

The aim of this research is surveying fifth class teachers questions types which they ask according to dominant learning styles that they have and their levels .This research which is a descriptive determine of situation, is formed two grades. First; inventory of Kolb learning style is applied to 63 fifth class teachers in Tarsus, Mersin. Four teacher who have analysing and internalizing learning style, have been observed in social studies lesson.Teachers who have the skills of convergent learning style answers the researching questions %24.9-%23.8 according to circumstances, but it was determined that the scale is %16.3- %15 according to circumstances. It was determined that four teachers who have the different learning skills apply the focusing questions at the highest scale of question type and lowest scale of question type is supporting questions. More than %50 of the questions that the teachers ask is at the level of memory. It was determined that, teachers who have the style of assimilator learning style apply the questions of their memory according to circumstances of %79.6-%78.8. Teachers who have the skills of convergent learning style the scale is according to circumstances of %65.4-%61.3. According to these teachers who have the skills of assimilator learning style apply the questions of their memory at the highest scale. The scale of the application of the teachers who have the skills of convergent learning style for at the level of comprehension questions according to circumstances of %34.6- %38.8. It was determined that the scale of the applications of the same questions for the assimilator learning style teachers are a lot according to circumstances %20.4- %21.2.Result of this research it is attained that the learning styles of teachers affect the questions types and levels which they asked in the class.Keywords: Kolb Learning Style, Question Types and Questions Levels, Social Studies.
