The effects of eating habits for success in secondary school students

Abstract (EN)

In this study, Şair Nefi Secondary School 2011-2012 academic year the 6th, 7th and 8th grades students 11 - 15 years of ages 187 students were used with written permission of their family informed about the purpose of this search, the success of the student as the dependent variable of the study and points with SBS(Placement Test) scores were used. A questionnaire was applied to determine the nutritional habits of the students in the class. According to the survey data todetermine the amount of energy they receive daily 'students nutritional statements of changes' were calculated by reference. To determine the amount of energy required to take daily among students 'energyneeds of children over the age of ten' was calculated using scale. These datas were determined by comparing students eating habits and lack of sufficient in terms of energy requirements. The statistical differentce between average using the collected data were analyzed by t-test using SPSS statistical software.The study included 110 (58.8%) were female and 77 (41.2%) participated in a total of 187 students, including students and male. Students age 11 and 15. 141 students participated in the study (75.4%) is being under nourished year-end 309 586 SBS average score mean score of 70.65 dr. 46 (32.6%) had an average of 314 308 SBS is fed enough, the year-end average of 71.91 dr. Adequate nutrition for the year-end grade point average in terms of energy requirements, SBS notes and created a difference in part on the overall average but adequate or in adequate nutrition year-end grade point average in terms of energy requirements and there was no statistical difference on the SBS notes (p>0.05). According to the number of meals they consume students, 3 meals consuming students than students who consume 2 or 4 meals a year end grade point average day, the SBS notesand created a difference in part on the overall average, but there was no statistically significant in this case (p> 0.05).The results are adequate and balanced nutrition is the success of the students that there was no statistically significant relationship.
