Abstract (EN)

This study, which investigated the anxiety levels of the students entering the Besyo special talent tests, was carried out with 390 people in the preparatory course for the sports academies in the Istanbul province. In the research, Sports Encounters Anxiety Test (SCAT-A) developed by Rainer Martens was used as data collection tool. After calculating the basic assumptions given in our study, it was determined that it showed a normal distribution. In this context, T-Test and One-Way ANOVA statistical analysis methods were used for skewness and kurtosis, independent samples. According to our research results, all students have middle class anxiety before the exam. The gender, income status and type of sport have no effect on the anxiety of the students. However, the length of any sport period in the student's age and past lives has a positive effect and decreases the anxiety level of the individual. The different results obtained in various studies in the literature suggest that further studies should be done in this field. It is expected that the anxiety levels of the students who will take the physical education and sports school special talent exams are measured and providing support according to their anxiety level will positively affect their exam success.
