Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate the concrete Arch Bridge by using finite element methods. In this way by usage of static testing results, numerical modeling was calculated by SAP2000.Akberabad Bridge is one of the old railway bridges in IRAN. The bridge has five- 6-meter spans and is located in the 24th kilometer of Tehran-Ghom old railway. The structure of the bridge, constructed 60 years ago, is a type of unreinforced concrete arch. And there were the cracks on the keystone part of the arches. The laboratory test results by other researches on the five span bridge which was loaded by 500 tons of distributed load in middle of the span, was concerned. by the using of shell elements, it was modeling and testing in 2D by sap2000.The main stress and displacement was appeared in the middle arch of the bridge. Finally the software analysis of the mid span displacement was compared by the test results.Key Words: Arch bridge, concrete, FEM
