Abstract (EN)

Warehouses have been used to store and protect various consumer goods from past to present. Over time, warehouses have varied according to the type, location, shape, number of floors and eyes of the material used. In the study, in Konya and Kocaeli which are located in two different earthquake risks, 24 different above-ground reinforced concrete cylindrical water tanks, which were modeled with the help of the SAP2000 v23 program, taking into account the parameters such as different soil classes, tank heights, tank diameters were designed and the differences in behavior and cost were revealed. Optimum diameter/height (D/H) ratios were determined for water tanks with different volumes, taking into account the cost. Many parameters such as warehouse volume, diameter, height, floor class of the place where the warehouse will be built have been effective in the cost of warehouses. In the warehouses of the same volume, diameter and height, the cities where the warehouse will be built and the ground classes have been decisive. The diameter/height (D/H) ratios are given as 3, 6 and 9 for the warehouses with a volume of 2500 m3 and 7500 m3. The costs of the warehouses were compared according to these ratios.
