Abstract (EN)

Keywords: Pushover, nonlinear analysis, performance analysis, displacement, seismic behavior of reinforced concrete structures In thesis the seismic behavior of reinforced concrete structures with various column sizes and various type of confiment rebars is studied. Nonlinear pushover analysis is applied to seven different structural model by using SAP2000 finite element analysis software. Pushover results of both directions are investigated and converted to capacity diagram by following the procedures of Turkish Design Code 2018. Stiffness, ductility and seismic load reduction factors are calculated and compared to each other. The main results can be summarized as that enlarging the size of the column with same reinforcement layout increases stiffness but decreases ductility. Moreover, reducing the spaces of stirrups increases ductility and finally adding more tie reinforcement also increases ductility of structural system.
