11 COMPARASION OF THE TWO SOFTWARE PACKAGES THAT ARE USED IN THE STRUCTURAL ANALYSES OF THE REINFORCED CONCRATE STRUCTURE (M.Sc.Thesis) Murat ÇAVUŞ GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY October 2002 ABSTRACT The structural carrying system of a reinforced concrete building may be at different types depending on the function of the building. A structural carrying system is expected firstly to transfer its weight (dead loads) and exterior forces (live loads) safely to the supported base-ground. To make this transfer safely, different structural analysis computer programs are being used on the analysis of the reinforced concrete buldings. This study is included the comparison of the eight story building's analysis results of the program of Probina and Sap-2000 under the live loads and dead loads.In this comparison the sample structural system of reinforced concrete building is chosen as the concrete wall-frame system. As a result of this comparison there is no big differences between two program outcomes. Besides, the easy way of using two programs at transferring data to graphic editor for system and at the system analysis result, both two programs are compared with relationship to Autocad. In this comparison it is apperad that with the function of the graphic editor, Sap-2000 has more advantages. In the data entrance related to Autocad these two programs have close advantages. Probina has more advantage of transferring the analysis results to Autocad.
