Özet (EN)

Concrete/reinforced concrete buildings, during their service lives, aredamaged by inner and outer effects that cause expenses in repairingand maintains. Not to see these kind of problems, architects and engineers have toknow about the basic principals of concrete and its inner materialsaccording to deformation effects and have to get suitable precautionsin design process. As a result of these precautions, concrete cansustained its initial qualities during future. This is the meaning ofhaving durability. One of the factors that affect the durability is the selection of theconcrete class. Suitable approach in concrete class selection is toevaluate the structural needs and deterioration effects at the same time.Mostly, when we notice the deterioration conditions, limitation on theratio of water/cement in concrete and cement dose cause the lowersuitable concrete class as C30 and over. Therefore, the objective of this thesis is to explain effects ofdeformations in concrete, its inner materials and reinforced concretebuildings during time and examine the selection of concrete classaffects on durability and with the help of an example, confirm thatchanges in concrete class can not be affect so much on buildingfinance as it is known.
