Abstract (EN)

The adverse effects of carrier system's irregularities in earthquake zones are known. Indefinite discontinuity of beams are frequently encountered, especially in the reinforced concrete buildings of our country. In this study, the effects of beam discontinuities and axle irregularities on structural behavior of reinforced concrete frame systems are investigated/ analyzed. For this purpose, the layout of the selected columns and / or beams was investigated on 4-storey reinforced concrete structures for 11 different building types. In the case of structural models, the variation of shear forces, moment values and total lateral displacements in the structures were investigated.
