Abstract (EN)

In this study, comparison of the performance analysis methods contained in Turkish Earthquake Code ? Specification for buildings to be built in earthquake areas-2007 aimed. For this aim, a three story reinforced concrete building have been considered. The building used in the thesis study has A2 slab impermanent irregularity. Even, the main issue is, to see the similarities and differences when these analysis methods applied on this type structures. The considered building, has been solved by all of these three analysis methods; linear equivalent seismic loads method, modal integration method and nonlinear incremental equivalent seismic loads method. In the Analysis, the building considered as an 3d structure, and both of x and y direction effects have been consulted. Application of linear elastic methods, the capacity ratio of beam and column determined by critical section forces. But the nonlinear and inelastic methods, the deformation of critical sections are important. Then, the analiysis results compared.According to analysis results, the performance levels have been determined for each method. The performance level of considered structured is changeable by selected analysis method. The result shows that, the element deformation level limits in Turkish seismic code needed to consult again, and performance analysis approximaitons should be developed. Keywords: Linear elastic methods, nonlinear inealastic methods, performance analysis, capacity spectrum method.
