In this thesis, in order to be used in white organic light emitting diodes (WOLED), starting from 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole molecule, 4,7-dibromo-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole, 4,7-diphenyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazole, 4-bromo-7-phenyl-2.1.3-benzothiadiazole, 1,1':4',1''-terphenyl-2',3'-diamine, 4-Bromobiphenyl-2,3-diamine,2-(4,7-diphenyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol, 2-(4-Bromo-7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-2-yl)phenol, [2-(2-Hidroxyphenyl)-7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-4-yl]boronic acid, 2,2'-[2,1,3-benzothiadiazole-4,7-diylbis(7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-4,2-diyl)]diphenol molecules were synthesized. On the other hand, starting from perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride dye, N,N'-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-dibromoperylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide and N,N'-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-bis-(4-bromophenoxy)perylene-3,4,9,10 tetracarboxylic diimide dyes were synthesized, respectively. These dyes were reacted with [2-(2-Hidroxyphenyl)-7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-4-yl]boronic acid molecule generated from 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole to give N,N'-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-bis[2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-4-yl]perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide and N,N'-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-1,7-bis{4-[2-(2-hidroxyphenyl)-7-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-4-yl]phenoxy}perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide molecules for white organic light emitting diodes.Structures of all synthesized compounds have been identified by UV-Vis, fluorescence, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR spectroscopic methods. Photophysical properties were investigated by fluorimeter measuring the emissions. Also, electrochemical properties were determined with cyclic voltammetry.
